Our hearts skipped a beat when we saw Giambattista Valli’s AW2014/15 collection. ‘La vie en Rose’ is the prettiest, most feminine and romantic message of the season. Consisting of five looks only, ‘La vie en Rose’ stays true to its romantic and intimate meaning. Set to a powdery pastel colour palette, Valli's exquisite creations were paraded down the runway whilst onlookers swooned.
Opening the show was a stunning rose printed, silk satin coat that falls just above the knee. Satin is a material that is associated to elegance and when used appropriately it oozes luxury.
Following this piece, in the same silk satin. Look two was formed into a long sleeved mini dress with gathering and ruffles at each side of the hem; keeping up with Valli’s signature ruffle details. Following these looks was a two-piece suit made from silk wool. The jacket is collarless with an invisible closure and peplum waist. Underneath is a pencil skirt with extended material gathered into ruffles at each side. A simple polo neck is layered below for that ultimate Parisienne chic (preserving a lady’s modesty whilst still looking fashion forward). A cashmere polo neck will be your new best friend this winter!

This feminine message continued with an overlapping, baby pink wool coat. It has a very simple design with two pockets either side of the hips, situated higher to the waist, creating an illusion to elongate the legs. Following the seams is a narrow piping the same colour of the wool accentuating the dimension of the coat. The absence of adornment enables you to wear this piece layered over anything.

Closing ‘La vie en Rose’ is the baby pink, floral printed satin organza that opened the show. But this time made into a fuller silhouette creating a more structured, linear, high fashion look.
