Winter suits are made in Summer, and if you only have just one item of suiting ready for this Fall, you’d want to make sure it’s checked. The AW13 shows were particularly flooded with the classic winter print, but now it comes in all shapes sizes, colours and characters. We saw lumberjacks, soldiers, gangsters and homeless bums (eat your heart out Kenny Samson). Whatever the occupation, you could dress it classically with a bold, matching-colour trou, or daringly take the trend full-force, Gucci style and match even your underpants.
Red has been a particularly prominent colour in the collections recently. In the past we may have called it ‘Lipstick’ or ‘Valentino’ Red and women with curves in all the right places might wear it. But lets call it ‘blood’ red, now that it’s giving us a sense of danger and power to the boys. Men, I do encourage giving it a go. Designer’s have been using it to give their collection a ‘pop’ in the middle of a show so I’m not saying dress head to toe in it until you look like you’ve been shot, but try particularly to wear it on your outerwear to give you your own pop.

P.s. Good News Lads- You can finally leave your tie at home! Across the Autumn winter shows we saw trend of buttoning a fresh, white shirt right up, and leaving out the tie. Could this be the men's answer to the burning of the bras?
