Shining “…bright like a Diamond” as she sings in her hit song, Rihanna hosted the first annual ball benefiting ‘The Clara Lionel Foundation’ last week. Founded in 2012, the charity is in honour of the starlet’s grandparents, Clara and Lionel, and works to better the quality of life for communities globally. “One of the greatest benefits of my job was being able to start the Clara Lionel Foundation in honour of my grandparents,” said Rihanna. “There is truly nothing I’m more proud of and we’ve just gotten started. I’m excited to continue my work and thrilled to be able to host the Diamond Ball – a night that promises to be elegant and inspirational.” Raising money for health, education, arts and culture; Rihanna performed with a full orchestra and hosted the night for many A-list celebrities wearing not one but TWO stunning Zac Posen gowns.
We love the plush pink and the elegant navy dresses she wore for the event and Joel & Son loves a floor length evening gown! Take a look at this breath taking, figure hugging Autumn/Winter 2014 Zac Posen piece below worn with (quite fittingly) nothing less than Chopard diamonds.
Dazzling in her jewels and oozing sexuality, this hostess with the mostess could have potentially conquered her best red carpet look EVER. The dress is made from Duchess Satin, an undeniably luxurious and amazing fabric to create a ball gown with because of it’s heavy and malleable qualities.
As if she couldn't look any more exquisite Rih Rih donned her second Zac Posen ensemble of the evening which was a strapless bodice made from Mikado surrounded by a floor length skirt made from Taffeta. The fitted strapless bustier compliments her décolletage and emphasises the fullness of the skirt with it’s amazing texture.
