The MTV Video Music Awards were held last night, and as usual, the VMA red carpet was way funkier than anything we’ve seen at the stuffier, more formal awards shows this year. The Oscars, the Golden Globes, the Emmy’s, even the more creatively charged Grammy’s – they all call for more restraint, and, to put it bluntly, more dignity.
