It’s the middle of the year already and Paris welcomes the Autumn/Winter 2017 Couture collections. Filled with glamour, spectacle and elegance, the world’s leading couturiers have not disappointed us.
Here are a few of our favourite looks from this seasons runway.
CHRISTIAN DIOR
Taking inspiration from the Dior archives and the first 10 years of Christian’s rise to fame, Maria Grazia Chiuri has refreshingly revived silhouettes from the Post WWII greyscape and the iconic 1947 Dior ‘New Look’. Waist fitted jackets and volumptous pleated skirts, the new creative designer has mastered her own modern style revolution.
GIAMBATTISTA VALLI
A youthful collection combining bright pops of millennial pink and pineapple yellow to the typical dark winter colour palette. Short party dresses and fun, full flounced gowns in candy tone tulle and Broderie Anglaise make us wish that we were sixteen and looking for Prom dresses again.
CHANEL
Karl Lagerfeld has encapsulated the wandering Parisian woman this season with a practical approach to the classic Bouclé. Mid-length jackets and coats adorned with delicate coloured feather rosettes and matched with sensible black ankle boots; the new collection is perfect inspiration for fashion in the colder months of the year.
We hope we've got you thinking about your next haute couture ensemble!
