The zebra stripe is set to knock the almighty leopard spot off its perch as queen of the animal print this season, and as people who look at fabric all day long, we’re pretty happy to welcome a little change in the kingdom. Don’t get us wrong, we will always love a leopard print - in tops or in dresses, on coats, and on cushions – but it’s refreshing to see a new animal-inspired pattern popping up here, there, and everywhere.

Animal prints are seasonless. A floaty summer maxi dress or cute mini skirt looks fabulous in animal print fabric, whilst a long, warm animal print coat for winter can look super stylish and inject a serious aesthetic flair.
Kate Moss doing zebra print to perfection
The black and white stripe of the zebra is easy to slip on. Like leopard, it works beautifully as an all over fabric (eg as a shirt or jersey) or as a bold accent, like a scarf, on a block colour outfit. Throw on a zebra print blouse, skirt or even just a shawl, and give your get-up a little edge. It’s fun without being goofy, and cool without being try-hard. Kate knows.
