Here at Joel & Son we are always inspired by our customer’s creations and imagination. As Christmas is a time of giving, we thought we’d dedicate this blog post to showing you some of our favourite decoration ideas by talented crafters which you can make at home in time for Christmas.
Fabric Christmas Wreaths
Show guests and even the postman you mean business this Christmas with these pretty wreaths made from strips of fabric tied to a simple wire frame. You can even further embellish these with beads and buttons (as shown in the second design) and tailor the colours to suit the rest of your Christmas theme. This is a great way to use fabric off-cuts and leftovers.
Xmas Tree Decorations
From baubles to personalised decorations there are lots of ways you can make festive decorations out of small amounts of pretty fabrics. Not only will these help you replace those depleted decoration sets that have been broken over the years, but they also make fantastic gifts for the family!
Playstations and bikes won’t fit in these very easily but these classic decorations will easily accommodate oranges and lumps of coal…only joking! Your kids will love rummaging through these on Christmas mornings for years to come. A great investment of time and fabric in our opinion!
Christmas Countdown/Advent Calendars
These examples of creative calendars using fabrics will help bring excitement to fever pitch in your household. The advent calendar Idea allows you to place your own treats in each of the squares.

Fabric Christmas Tree
Tired of picking up pine needles or synthetic equivalents? These fabric Christmas trees are for you! They are fully customisable as you see fit and would work great as a secondary tree on the mantelpiece or dining room table.
We hope that this has inspired you to create this Christmas, whether it be for your home or for friends and family.
