An antique silver coloured single breasted 'Three Lions of Ashoka' button set by Benson & Clegg. The Lions of Ashoka is the national emblem of India, adopted in 1950 when India became a republic. There are actually four lions, though only three are visible in its symbolic form. The design features four Asiatic lions standing back to back, symbolising power, courage, confidence and price. Included in the set is 3 large buttons and 8 small buttons, all presented in a stylish Benson & Clegg button box.
